Position Overview

We are looking for experienced Welders and Fabricators to join growing manufacturing operations in Decatur, Alabama. This role involves MIG, TIG, and stick welding on a variety of metals in a production environment supporting aerospace, defense, and heavy industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Lay out, fit, and tack weld components prior to final welding
• Operate grinders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
• Inspect welds visually and with measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on welding equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety protocols
• Collaborate with fabrication team leads to meet production deadlines

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
• Proficiency in at least two welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum
• AWS welding certification is a plus but not required
• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, overhead) and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must pass drug screen and background check

Compensation and Benefits

• $20-28/hr based on certifications and experience
• Weekly pay
• Temp-to-hire after 90 days
• Overtime available
• Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO after conversion

• Experience: 2+ years welding experience
• Certification: AWS certification a plus
