Job Description

Salary: $75,000 - 103,000 per year Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of experience in full-stack development, with significant hands-on work on both frontend and backend
• Proficient in Spring Boot services on AWS, with proven track record in designing and building backend microservices
• Expertise in frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar), and deploying with Netlify or equivalent static setups
• Solid understanding of MACH and headless commerce architectures, with experience integrating with Commercetools or alike
• Hands-on experience in performance/load testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Knowledgeable in API design and versioning, service reliability, data persistence, caching, and error management
• Familiar with CI/CD tools, setting up test environments, version control, and automation in deployment
• Strong emphasis on code quality practices, including tests and code reviews for maintainable architecture
• Excellent mentorship and leadership skills; capable of contributing to architectural decisions and managing features end-to-end
• Strong communication capabilities to articulate trade-offs and collaborate effectively across teams
• Retail and Ecommerce experience is essential
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential matters with sound judgment
• Highly self-motivated and proactive
• Ability to support both onshore and offshore teams

• Design and architect full-stack features, encompassing both UI/UX frontend and backend microservices
• Document, version, and evolve APIs while ensuring backward compatibility for seamless integrations with the commerce platform
• Enhance front-end performance, focusing on build times, bundle sizes, SEO readiness, and mobile-responsive user experiences
• Create scalable backend services on AWS, including data modeling, caching, scaling, fault tolerance, and observability
• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, versioning, and testing environments
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting across the stack, and conduct performance/load testing to identify and rectify bottlenecks
• Maintain high code quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; ensure robust test coverage and conduct code reviews
• Address technical debt while advocating for clean, maintainable, and scalable architecture
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers; lead discussions around design and architecture, and contribute to strategic roadmaps
• Work closely with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver features aligned with business objectives
• Uphold security practices, including securing APIs, protecting data, and ensuring compliance where necessary
