Job Description

Job Title: Restaurant ManagerQualifications:Food and Beverage Knowledge:Extensive knowledge of food and beverage equipment is required to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.Managerial Experience:At least 2 years of managerial experience in a full-service or fast-casual restaurant environment. This includes experience in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction.Microsoft Office Proficiency:Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage scheduling, reporting, and communication.Organizational and Administrative Skills:Strong administrative and organizational skills are essential for coordinating team tasks, maintaining inventory, and managing operations efficiently.POS System and Time Keeping:Experience with POS systems and timekeeping systems is preferred. This includes ensuring smooth transactions, tracking hours, and managing employee shifts.Flexibility in Work Hours:Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed for business operations.Vehicle and Snowmobile Operation:Ability to operate company vehicles and snowmobiles when required, based on business needs.Alcohol Server Training:Must either have a Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or complete the training within 30 days of employment.Food Manager and Allergy Training Certification:Must either have current Food Manager and Allergy training certifications or complete training through Alterra Mountain Company within 14 days of employment.Driver’s License:Must possess a valid driver’s license without restrictions or limitations and meet the company’s insurability standards. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be required for verification.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalentRequired as a minimum education level.College Degree (Preferred):A college degree in a related field such as Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, or Personnel Management is preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience in these areas is also acceptable.Experience Requirements:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations supervision is required. This includes:Managing daily restaurant operationsOverseeing employee performance and developmentEnsuring food safety and quality standardsHandling customer inquiries and issuesManaging inventory, supplies, and cost controlPhysical Requirements:Age Requirement:Must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for this position.Work Environment:This position involves working in various areas of the building, including offices and kitchen areas. It requires long periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting.Lifting Capacity:Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs on a cart.Temperature Exposure:May include exposure to heat and cold in the kitchen environment, depending on the specific tasks being completed.Driver’s License & Insurability:Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability standards. This includes passing a Motor Vehicle Record check.Other Requirements:Customer Service & Leadership:The role demands excellent leadership skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service, improving team performance, and ensuring a smooth operation.Problem-Solving Ability:Must have strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and customer concerns efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing staff, inventory, and customer satisfaction.Develop and maintain schedules for employees to ensure adequate coverage.Provide training and development opportunities for staff, including health and safety protocols.Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and service standards.Monitor and manage operational budgets, including inventory control and cost management.Foster a positive work environment and resolve any staff conflicts that may arise.Manage customer complaints and concerns to ensure positive experiences.Ensure compliance with all company policies and state regulations (e.g., alcohol service, food handling, health & safety).
