The Radiation Therapist delivers accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. This role requires proficiency in operating radiation therapy equipment, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to established protocols. The therapist will also monitor patients for treatment side effects and provide appropriate support and education.

Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to the radiation oncologist's prescription.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and simulators.
- Monitor patients for treatment side effects and report any concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects.
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatment parameters and patient information.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the safety and effectiveness of treatments.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment plans and simulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Float between units as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Special Considerations:
- Must be able to float between units.
- Schedule accommodations are per manager discretion.
- The facility can call off once per two-week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Day shift, 8 hours.
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
