Job Title: Unlawful Detainer Trial Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Unlawful Detainer Trial Manager to lead and oversee our trial department in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in unlawful detainer litigation and a strong background in trial preparation, case management, and team leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring that trial matters are thoroughly prepared, trial attorneys are effectively supported, and all trial-related processes are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Unlawful Detainer Trial Department.

  • Manage and coordinate trial preparation for unlawful detainer cases.

  • Prepare and review trial documents, pleadings, and other litigation materials.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to trial attorneys and trial support staff.

  • Coordinate the preparation and organization of trial exhibits, witness lists, and supporting evidence.

  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines, filing requirements, and trial procedures.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop effective trial strategies and maintain case readiness.

  • Attend hearings and trials, when appropriate, to provide litigation support and ensure smooth trial operations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve trial workflows, processes, and departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience handling unlawful detainer litigation.

  • Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and litigation support.

  • Strong knowledge of California unlawful detainer procedures and court practices.

  • Proven leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

  • Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
