Job Description

The Senior Analyst in Credentialing Registration Education and Disclosure Regulatory (CRED) Application Quality and Business Support assists with the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process of all applications under CRED portfolio and supports the quality and functionality of products before deployment to end-users. The Senior Analyst works with cross-functional teams including software developers product managers and quality assurance teams to execute UAT activities and provide Business Support for issues identified in production. The Senior Analyst also supports facilitating UAT of CRED applications impacting North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and internal CRED business units. The Senior Analyst collaborates with the CRED communications and training teams to support stakeholder communication and training needs. This position is an entry-level professional individual contributor who works under close supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Executes and supports UAT activities for CRED applications by performing internal UAT.
  • Supports conducting UAT for State Regulators NASAA SEC industry firms and internal CRED business units according to established methodologies.
  • Develops test cases and scripts with appropriate coverage utilizing SQL scripts and other tools to identify test data and validate testing scenarios.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with technology product management and business teams to support UAT execution within agile development processes.
  • Supports continuous improvement by helping to define UAT objectives scope and deliverables while optimizing UAT processes and tools.
  • Maintains issue logs for CRED applications and collaborates with stakeholders to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
  • Demonstrates FINRAs values.
  • Collaborates both in-person and virtually in furtherance of FINRAs mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or Computer Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 1 (one) year of software development lifecycle experience in a UAT analyst or software tester role.

  • Proficiency in database concepts and creating SQL scripts.

  • Understanding of software application architecture and API concepts.

  • Familiarity with JSON and tools such as Bruno for APIs.

  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of technology methodologies including Agile and iterative approaches.

  • Well organized thorough and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements.

  • Extended hours outside of normal business hours as needed.
