**Role Overview**
RemotelyScale.com is seeking a dedicated **Remote Staff Accountant** to join our growing global operations team. You will be a core member of our internal staff, responsible for managing the daily accounting cycles and financial reporting for a specific U.S. business account within our corporate portfolio.
As a professional at RemotelyScale, you will work under our internal management structure, following our standardized workflows to ensure high-quality financial delivery.
**Scope of Work**
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the assigned client
2. Perform routine bookkeeping and accounting tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
3. Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
4. Prepare and assist in reviewing financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
5. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice tracking
6. Support month-end and year-end closing activities
7. Follow client-specific workflows and reporting requirements
8. Coordinate with the client and RemotelyScale team to ensure timely deliverables
9. Identify discrepancies and raise issues proactively
**Engagement Requirements**
1. Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting
2. Working knowledge of U.S. accounting standards (GAAP familiarity preferred)
3. Experience using accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar tools
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
5. Clear and professional communication skills
6. Ability to work independently in a remote environment
7. Willingness to adapt to client systems and processes
