This role is for a Radiation Therapist responsible for delivering radiation therapy to patients. The therapist will work under the direction of a physician, operating radiation therapy equipment and monitoring patients during treatment. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
- Document treatment parameters and patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.
equired Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to float between units as needed.
- Accommodation of block schedules is per manager discretion.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Day shift, 8 hours.
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
