Job Title: Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to primary-aged pupils, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a lifelong interest in sport. The role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports students’ physical and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the school’s curriculum

Teach a range of sports, skills, and physical activities appropriate to primary students

Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback

Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing through structured activities

Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and events

Ensure a safe learning environment, following safeguarding and health & safety policies

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school initiatives

Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching primary PE (international experience desirable)

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Ability to motivate and engage young learners

Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

Desirable
Experience in an international or bilingual school setting

Knowledge of UK or international curricula

Coaching qualifications in specific sports

Experience organising school sports events or competitions
