Job Opportunity – Obstetrician/Gynecologist – Virginia

Start Date: Various shifts available starting June 2026

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Schedule: 24-hour on-site shifts (typically 6:00 am to 6:00 am next day); restricted/on-site coverage model with dedicated private sleep room and doctors' lounge available

Highlights:

• Full scope OBGYN inpatient coverage including labor and delivery, inductions, triage, ER and floor consults, and emergent procedures
• Average daily patient volume of 11; physicians typically perform 3-7 deliveries per shift
• EMR: Meditech for inpatient (1-hour on-site orientation available if needed)
• Locum tenens opportunity supporting an established practice actively recruiting permanent physicians
• Opportunity to provide phone consultation support to office nurse practitioners for emergent patient care coordination
• No OB hospitalist backup; physician serves as primary coverage for all obstetric and gynecologic needs

Requirements:

• Active Virginia medical license required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Ability to remain on-site for entire 24-hour shift
• Experience with full scope obstetric and gynecologic emergency care
• Must be available for in-person orientation prior to first shift if unfamiliar with Meditech EMR
