Job Description

Wills Eye Hospital is hiring  a   Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN)   in  Philadelphia, PA . In this role, you will be   a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process for the patient and  family/significant other(s)in collaboration with other health care providers . This is a  Part-Time 24 hours per week (Two-12 hour shifts per week)  opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

In this role,  you’ll support  patients, providers, and clinical teams  while helping deliver high-quality ophthalmic care.  You’ll manag e several key aspects of patient care and daily clinical operations while also  contribut ing to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities  

1. Possesses knowledge of, and the ability to perform, duties  in accordance with established standards for all Nursing practices, as  set forth in the Hospital policies.  

1. Keeps proficient and is knowledgeable of  outpatient’s needs, techniques, and requirements  at all times .  

1. Cares for specimens and cultures  in accordance with Hospital policies and best practices .   

1. Demonstrates competency in IV insertion and discontinuation of it, as suitable to the needs of the patient.  

1. Administers drugs and manages drug-related problems that occur.  

1. Demonstrates arrhythmia recognition and treatment.  

1. Completes other job duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing   required .  

• Active Pennsylvania State Nursing License  required .  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification  required .  

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification  required .  

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification  required within 90 days of hire date .   

• 1 year of clinical experience  required .  

Preferred Qualifications  

• 3 years of clinical experience is preferred.
