Job Summary

Th e HR Representative is an entry-level human resources professional responsible for providing operational HR support to employees and managers. This role serves as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and partners closely with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to support key HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and engagement initiatives. The position also assists in implementing HR policies, programs, and procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Job Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, compensation, benefits, policies, and general HR concerns
  • Support managers and supervisors in handling employee relations issues, including motivation and job satisfaction
  • Conduct employee information sessions on HR policies, benefits, and compensation
  • Participate in union-related meetings where applicable
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to improve employee retention
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals, career planning, and succession planning
  • Develop internal transfer letters, promotion documentation, and organizational announcements
  • Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, performance data)
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies
  • Coordinate recruitment activities in partnership with Talent Acquisition and campus recruiting teams
  • Screen resumes, review applications, and participate in interviews as needed
  • Support onboarding and employee integration activities
  • Coordinate internal and external training initiatives
  • Support employee engagement programs and team-building activities
  • Assist in organizing company and community events
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee motivation and HR effectiveness
  • Act as a primary contact for HR systems (e.g., Workday) and payroll-related inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and increase efficiency
  • Support reporting and analytics using HR systems and tools
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and departments
  • Provide hands-on HR support through regular employee interaction and feedback
  • Assist managers in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures
  • Support coaching and development of new team members
  • Maintain awareness of HR trends and business needs

 

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of related experience (internships or entry-level HR experience acceptable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of general HR experience
  • Experience working with HRIS systems such as Workday
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

 

Salary

  • $34 - $41 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
