Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead campus operations for a higher education institution in Tampa, FL. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a strategic, student-focused education leader who can drive enrollment growth, academic quality, financial performance, compliance, and a positive campus culture.

The Executive Director will serve as the senior campus leader, providing direction across academic programs, student services, operations, finance, staffing, and community engagement. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student success while leading a collaborative team in a mission-driven educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall campus operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, enrollment growth, academic quality, student services, placement outcomes, and financial performance.

• Develop and manage the institutional budget and operational plan to ensure financial health, effective resource utilization, and alignment with campus goals.

• Oversee academic programs, student life, student services, conduct standards, campus organizations, and social activities to support retention and student success.

• Manage, mentor, recruit, train, and evaluate department directors and key managerial staff while fostering a high-performance, ethical, and collaborative culture.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accrediting bodies, permits, licenses, reporting requirements, facilities standards, equipment, and inventory controls.

• Represent the institution in the community by building relationships with businesses, agencies, educational centers, and partners that support student recruitment and campus development.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $125,000 per year.

• Job Type: Direct Hire.

Primary responsibilities and projects include:

• Lead campus-wide operations, strategic planning, financial management, and departmental performance.

• Manage enrollment, retention, placement, academic quality, compliance, and student success initiatives.

• Develop and mentor campus leadership teams while building a positive and accountable culture.

• Serve as the campus representative for business, education, agency, and community partnerships.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the education field.

• Proficient knowledge and use of campus information systems and technological equipment.

• Strong understanding of campus operations, academic administration, student services, compliance, and performance management.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and student success.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and ethical judgment.

• Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading campus operations within a university, college, career school, or postsecondary education environment.

• Demonstrated success improving enrollment, retention, placement, student satisfaction, compliance, and operational performance.

• Experience working with accrediting bodies, regulatory agencies, government permits, and institutional reporting requirements.

• Strong community engagement background with the ability to develop partnerships that support student recruitment, employer relations, and campus growth.
