Position Description:

The Cleaning Specialist & Maintenance Assistan t is responsible for performing routine and non-routine cleaning, maintenance, and services in order to keep the facilities clean, operational, and well-maintained. Additionally, this role works in tandem with the Office Manager to identify and address any office needs beyond day-to-day cleaning, including preventative maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning of all areas of the building and parking lot as outlined in the cleaning schedule
• Complete non-routine cleaning as outlined in the cleaning schedule or as directed
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped and stocked with any supplies as needed
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning and minor maintenance according to building and equipment needs
• Continuous evaluation of building condition and communicate with supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance
• Receive and respond to staff reports of issues or building needs
• Order supplies for building needs
• Coordinate with Office Manager and Office Assistant to setup and breakdown before and after any company functions

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be clean and organized
• Must possess basic computer and telephone skills
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to climb heights, climb onto ladders, and lift/carry up to 50lbs
• Ability to interact with internal staff as well as with external vendors
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for personal belongings
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
