Entry Level Fiber Technicians Needed in Northern MI

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems to ensure peak performance.
• Perform precise splicing of coaxial cables across various types and sizes.
• Execute efficient splicing for aerial and underground installations, including span replacements, single-dwelling units (SDUs), small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and relocation projects.
• Identify and replace damaged or obsolete fiber optic infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues in fiber networks.
• Evaluate job sites to mitigate risks associated with faulty installations.
• Monitor and document signal strength for services such as television, internet, and telephone.
• Conduct live splicing on active devices with accuracy and minimal disruption.
• Maintain and update network documentation, including system layouts and design schematics.
• Educate customers on installed services and assist with the setup of personal equipment.

• Strong leaning ability
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and assertively.
• Capable of making independent decisions and solving problems under pressure.

This is a Contract position based out of Mancelona, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mancelona,MI.
