Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This is an entry-level to early-career position that will primarily support Accounts Payable, with some assistance in Accounts Receivable and other general accounting tasks as needed.

This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, focused, comfortable with data-entry work, and eager to learn. Extensive accounting experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Assist with coding invoices and matching supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate vendor and invoice records
• Assist with Accounts Payable processing and payment preparation
• Research basic invoice or payment discrepancies
• Perform routine data entry and accounting-related administrative tasks
• Provide support to Accounts Receivable as needed
• Upload customer invoices and supporting documentation to customer billing portals as required
• Monitor customer portals to ensure invoices are submitted successfully and address basic submission issues
• Assist with payment posting and customer account maintenance as needed
• Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation
• Assist the accounting team with other projects and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Adaptable and comfortable taking on different responsibilities when needed
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous office, administrative, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience is helpful but not required
• Accounting degree or extensive accounting experience is not required
• Training will be provided for the right candidate

Compensation

Approximately $40,000 annually, depending on experience.
